Song Leader

Last Sunday my husband was able to use his latest purchase – his Gretsch guitar. He is the song leader at our church and he plays the guitar at the same time. My husband is really lucky because of his God-given talent. He is able to contribute to our small church because of his talents and I admire him for that. That’s why whenever he wants to buy new stuff for his music I support him fully. Aside from the gears making him happy he is able to use it for our church’s service.

One of these days I wish I would be able to treat him. A quick visit gibson custom shop would be surely unexpected. I must prepare to bring some money because he would surely want to buy something as a souvenir. LOLhxv

In the next few months we will be anticipating the finishing of our house. It was halted due to some problems but everything has been ironed out at last. Although I am happy with the good news I am also sad everytime I think about leaving my Dad in Caloocan. The past months has been such a learning experience for me. With his help I have started selling furniture online. Without his guidance it would take years for me to learn what I’ve learned so I am forever grateful. It took lots of resources to move from our place in Taguig to Caloocan but it was all worth it.

Anyway, as soon as our house is finished in Taguig we will be obliged to move back. By that time I hope I have acquired all the knowledge that I need in the furniture business but that would be being too optimistic. I know I will have to brush up my driving skills so I can go there even at least 3 times a week. I also need to buy one of those Coats tire changer so that when I get a flat tire I would be able to deal with it easily. It will be an extra cost but I know it will be worth it.

My brother is back again in the States. He already has his green card and his trying his luck there. He is staying with his aunt and cousin. The thing is he wants to come back and stay here. I guess it can be lonely living away from your family and friends. He said it’s hard living there because all they do is work and work. Back here it is more laidback.

Anyway, before he comes back home I am going to ask him to bring me a silver eagle as a remembrance. I would put it in my wallet for goodluck.

From Genesis to Fender – The Day Hubby Got Lucky

My husband has a Fender Telecaster guitar. He never fails to tell me the story on how he got one.

According to my hubby, when he was a teenager he begged his Dad to buy him an electric guitar. Because of tight budget he was only given a Genesis guitar. Nevertheless, he was happy with it and took great care of it.

Meanwhile his brother’s friend has an old and worn out Fender guitar. It looked beaten and old because of misuse. When his brother’s friend saw his Genesis guitar he was in awe with it. My hubby knew that the Fender guitar was more expensive than his own guitar even though it’s already old so he offered to exchange it with his brother’s friend. He agreed with hubby’s offer.

More than ten years later the old guitar is now restored and as good as new. Meanwhile his Genesis guitar which is now owned by his friend has been dumped because of wear and tear. To this day the friend regrets the exchange that happened many years ago. Hubby meanwhile has never forgotten the day when he got lucky.

Music Team Practice

During Saturdays, my husband has a practice with the worship team of our church. He is head of the music team so he has to be present to guide them. Since some of the musicians are still in their teens they needed lots of guidance in the beginning.

Now that they have already learned a lot my hubby can now relax during their practice. Lately, he has been taking our youngest along. The little one would then happily wreck havoc by grabbing the drumsticks and tapping them everywhere. He would also plead to be given the guitar so he can strum it. When he gets bored he would attempt to go up and down the stairs. My hubby would then come home tired as ever because of the little one’s antics.

Online Furniture Store Manila

Last year, we launched our Philippine online furniture store. The hardest thing was launching the website. It took months before I was able to make it presentable. But through hard work we were able to launch and serve our first customer in November. Three months later we are getting inquiries on a daily basis. It will still take a lot of marketing to spread the word about our online furniture shop but I am willing to do the hard work.

Anyway, for now I need to have cheap business cards printed. I really can’t call myself a businesswoman without one, right? haha!
