Going Crazy over Sylvanian Families

Feb 23, 2010 by

I felt like a little girl again when I saw this. I wanted to throw a tantrum right there and then and tell my mommy to buy it or else. The problem was, I’m not a little girl anymore but a 28-year old mom. LOL!

Anyway, I told my hubby I want this. He was incredulous at first but after a few days he was convinced I really wanted it. He told me he’s getting it for my birthday. I can’t believe it I’ll be receiving a gift for my birthday. I want a pink laptop but I so like this better. hihi

Seriously, although my son is a boy this can benefit him too. We can play and have conversations through the little Sylvanians and because everything looks real we can make believe it’s true. So who says it’s just for mommy – mommy and son can bond with this too. Or am I just convincing myself? LOL!

Kaye's Random WAHM Thoughts

Feb 20, 2010 by

If you noticed a beautifully designed template with a woman in it then chances are you have landed on Kaye’s blog or one of her very own designs. I can only dream of making beautiful templates like her that’s why I’m in awe with her talent. She can write so well too and it’s obvious with her no-nonsense, brutally honest blog entries. Reading more I found out that she’s also a WAHM like me. It made me remember the time when I also dreamed of becoming one and I didn’t know anyone else here in our country who is a work-at-home mom. So naturally, I was delighted by our connection. We were both WAHMs leaving in the same country albeit miles away from each other. I found out that the primary reason she wanted to become one was because she can’t bear the thought of leaving her son. That was also my main reason when I stopped working although I did it months after Z was born. She was braver though because she quit her job a few months before giving birth. I also agree with her 100% that working at home is not easier. The work that we do is real work like people do in their office and it’s a myth if you say we have it easy.

Mom Conversations – Definitely for Moms

Feb 17, 2010 by

Photobucket

Love at first sight, that’s my first thought when I first saw Mom Conversations. It’s because I so love its template. I first saw that a few months ago and tried to install it as a template for my blog, unfortunately, I had a few problems so I just abandoned the idea. So I like Mom Conversations right away because we have the same taste. hehe The word Bueno in large letters should be removed though. I know it’s part of the template but people are mistaking it for the blog’s title.

Reading on I found out that this blog is a great resource for moms. I wish I read the entry on how to prevent stretch marks when I got pregnant with Z. Her post on Toddler’s Temper and Tantrum is also a big help in dealing even with my five year old.

Mom Conversations is still a new blog and there are only a few posts. I’m sure it will still be better if the author add more helpful posts for moms like you and me.

Valentine's Date

Feb 15, 2010 by

The day after Valentine was too busy for me. I woke up at 5 am and started working furiously. I need to finish my work so we can go on our Valentine’s date tonight. My hubby is going to attend a gig at a bar tonight and I will come along. I would order their yummy sisig and probably get drunk after. Who knows what will happen after that? Maybe I can also convince my hubby to drink a little alcohol (he doesn’t drink alcohol).

After hours and hours of working I’m finally done. I couldn’t say the same thing with hubby because he’s still frantically rehearsing his piece. I’ll just iron my hair and make myself pretty while I wait.  I’m sure this is going to be one romantic night. Wish me luck!

Recession is OVER! Here's What Convinced Me.

Feb 11, 2010 by

I heard the recession was over.

I couldn’t believe it at first.

I thought they were kidding.

I said to myself, “No way it’s over!”

So I did some research.

I went over at Smashing Magazine and saw this:

I got myself a copy of Newsweek and read this:

I turned on the TV and heard Ben Bernanke, Chairman of the US Federal Reserve, say this:

Still, I was not convinced. I needed more – something more convincing. So I checked out my favorite blogs and finally I was convinced. Here’s why.
