Enjoying Cable

May 30, 2010 by

We went cable less for more than a year and now that we have moved we’re experiencing cable TV again for the first time.  I want to say I didn’t miss it but the truth is I did.  The first night I was here I stayed hours beyond my bedtime so I can catch up on some shows that I’ve missed.  Even Z is so thrilled because he can watch his favorite cartoons any time of the day now that he has cable.  He even has his very own TV in our room.  Anyway, I hope we can finally settle down and hopefully I can enforce a new routine for Z so he won’t be watching TV all the time.  I miss TV but I’m old enough to know that watching it all the time is no substitute to family bonding and learning activities.  For the time being we’ll be indulging with the cable but I hope we can cut it again soon.

Poor Hubby

May 30, 2010 by

After moving hubby was able to rest only yesterday night.  The night before they were doing last minute packing in our house and so he was only able to sleep after midnight.  So it was just natural we slept early after all the moving.  I was already deep in my sleep when I woke up to find hubby awake.  I assumed it was already 4am and it was time for him to go to the office.  When I asked him the time he said it was only 10pm.  He only was sleeping for two hours when he got a call that his grandma needed to be rushed to the hospital!  Since we have a car they called us to help so hubby had no choice but to go.  His grandma is still confined in the hospital and the doctor said they are still checking what’s wrong with grandma.  Poor hubby was left all alone to take care of his grandma.  If this continues he won’t be needing those quick weight loss tips because of all this stress he’s undergoing.  Right now we’re already preparing a hearty lunch for him so when he comes back he has something to eat.

New House Headaches

May 30, 2010 by

It’s our second day in our house and it has not been a good experience.  Oh, we were reunited with a lot of hubby’s relatives and that was fine but alas, the room where we’re sleeping still reeked of thinner!  If you remember I asked for our room to be repainted but some paint dropped on the floor so just before we arrived they removed it with thinner.  It’s giving me headaches and premature wrinkles already and I have to resort to painkillers and wrinkle creams to deal with them. I hope this nasty smell be gone soon because if it stays longer I’m afraid I’m going to get sick.

Moving Day

May 30, 2010 by

Hubby woke up at 4:30 am at our old apartment yesterday and was shocked to see that the moving van was already outside. They were so early that he had no time to do his lipofuze reviews. So he quickly got up and instructed the moving men to start carrying our things. It was a tough job as our apartment was located in the third floor but he said the moving men were friendly and good-natured while working so the job was done in no time. Then they waited for the landlord to load the heavier furniture and appliances into a pulley so it can be lowered down. Our landlord was kind enough to give us back our one-month deposit that we hadn’t consumed which made us grateful that he honored his promise (some greedy landlords will make excuses so they won’t have to return the tenant’s money). Hubby thanked him before leaving. Meanwhile, Bam told me our neighbor who was our neighbor for three years and who was the mother of Z’s playmate was crying profusely when they were about to go. She’s in the middle of a family and financial crisis right now and we have been helping her find a job and also lent her some money so she can apply for jobs. She was sad to see us go and we’re so sad too to leave her there by herself without her husband to support her. I’m glad I moved a day early and was not able to see her as I hate saying goodbye and I would have broken down too if I saw her crying.

Grandma is Sick

May 29, 2010 by

This is the first night of our stay here in hubby’s old house and poor hubby, after getting only a few hours of sleep he was called to rush his grandma to the hospital!  His grandma is old but still quite strong but yesterday she was really pushing her body when she tried to walk under the heat of the sun.  They were supposed to take a taxi but unfortunately, not one was in sight so they were forced to walk instead.  By night time, grandma was already throwing up her dinner.  She was taken to the doctor and she was given a clean bill of health.  I tried to search for colon cleanse reviews but then we received a call that grandma needs to be taken to the hospital. Poor grandma, I hope nothing is wrong with her and she’s just homesick because they transferred to a new house and she’s not yet used to her new surroundings. Will be praying for her to recovery soon.
