Mind Talk

Jul 15, 2010 by

So today is Mind Talk este Girl’s Talk and we’re talking about our powerful minds.  If I were still studying, I would brag about being in the honor roll, the medals, and the awards I got at school (hmm, did I do just that?LOL!) but now that I’m almost 30 I’m not comfortable talking about it anymore.  It’s because I realized that real life is really different than school.  Looking back, I think maybe I was just good at answering exams at schools. :P

So what can I brag about my mind after school?  It’s much harder now because there are no more quarterly tests in real life to measure how I do.  But little by little I am knowing more and more about how my mind works.  I have realized that in order to be good at something I have to be obsessive about it to the point of ignoring everything else.  It’s not healthy and I’m still working on having a balanced life.  If you know the secret then please do tell me!

So that’s my short entry for today.  I have done about five revisions on this post and I have decided to just delete the other things because once I start blabbing I can’t seem to control myself. hihi

Z loves Naruto as much as we do.  That’s why when he got hold of this toy Rasengan he immediately posed for some pictures ala Naruto.

Watch out for the Rasengan!

CNA Training Program

Jul 12, 2010 by

If you want to become a nurse but don’t have the time to complete the full four year course then why not become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) instead. CNAs are in demand all over the United States due to increased number of hospitals and health care facilities. That’s why getting a job as a CNA is not that difficult.

As a CNA, you’re expected to be competent in certain medical tasks like performing CPR and monitoring patient’s vital signs.  You are also expected to respond to signals of calls by the patient and be able to serve whatever their needs are.   That is why you have to complete a cna training first before you’re accepted as one.

If you’re thinking of building a nursing career then becoming a CNA is the most logical first step you can choose.  CNAs are essentially assistants to nurses so you’ll get a good a good feel for the job and you’ll be able to assess whether you’re really suited for the nursing profession or want to continue as a CNA.

I Won!

Jul 10, 2010 by

I missed the finale of the Johnson & Johnson Bedtime Routine and forgot all about it until I received a text from Fedhz saying that I won an award.  I was really surprised and I don’t know all the details yet and what kind of award it was.  All I know is that I wrote a post about it in my main blog and my post caught the eye of the organizers.  I chatted with Peh when she got home and tried to pry out all the information from her.  What I know is that I won a glass trophy and P2,500 Gift Check from Rustan’s.  Yipee!  I’m already thinking what I’ll be buying from my GC.  Maybe I’ll be buying the breast pump that I will need when baby comes out.

I’ve Been Thinking

Jul 9, 2010 by

…about my parents.  I have no relationship with them.  I was angry back then with both of them because I thought they both abandoned me but that was way back when I was in my rebellious teen years.  Now that I’m already a mom I have become more understanding of their situation.  That’s life really.  You make mistakes and once it’s done you can’t do anything about it but move forward and make sure you learn from it so you won’t make the same mistakes in the future.  I understand that they were young then and still immature.  I could have easily made the same mistakes but I guess I’m more lucky I didn’t.

So now we’re all civil and talking to each other but sometimes I can’t help but think what if I was close to them?  I want to know them more and although I’m already married I still want their guidance.  So I think it’s a good thing that we have moved closer.  I would certainly visit them more often now and I hope we can finally bridge the gap that we have the relationship we’re supposed to have.
