Diamonds

Aug 18, 2010 by

We walked by past a jewelry shop last Monday and we decided to pass by and take a look. We have lost our wedding ring and until now we still haven’t bought a replacement. I looked at the diamonds and sighed. How I wish we can afford those!

Just some little known facts about diamonds. The word itself came from the Greek word “adamas” which means unconquerable and indestructible. Diamonds are composed entirely of carbon and even though it is the hardest natural substance in the world it can burn when heated enough (around 1,000 Fahrenheit).

Even during the ancient times, diamonds have been regarded highly and until now they are still regarded as a status symbol.
