Importance of Wheels

Aug 13, 2010 by

When Dad gave us his old car he told us that he just bought brand new wheels. That’s why we were confident the wheels will last a long time and it would take a while before we were going to replace it. We had no problems for a couple of months until hubby brought the wheels to a mechanic. That’s when we found out that the wheels were terribly misaligned and the inner side were about to burst. It was an accident waiting to happen and we were so glad we caught it at the nick of time.  Hubby was only too glad to buy a new replacement asap.  Who knows what could have happened if he continued driving leaving the wheels unchecked?

That’s why if you’re a car owner it’s a good habit to check your wheels every once in a while.  The wheels are the most abused part of your car with it carrying the whole weight of the vehicle and its occupants.  It’s normal that it suffers wear and tear so if it shows signs of that you better replace it as soon as possible to ensure a safe journey.

Aside from investing on quality set of wheels you can also invest on a nice rims.  These can add beauty to your car too.  You can buy quality custom rims at Carid.com which is an online shop specializing on car accessories.  They have so many designs you can choose from and since these custom wheels are lightweight in can also add more comfort in your ride.

  1. Hi Paula,
So true… We all need to have our wheels and cars checked regularly to avoid highway mishaps. I wrote a blog post on both of my blogs about this… Yes, accidents happen and wheels can run over nails and what have you but it is important to do those checks.
I didn’t mention it in my posts but the car and wheels were checked the week before our trip and everything was fine. If it weren’t for the grace of God, my calmness and experience as a confident driver, and the fact that the car was in tip top shape, only God knows what would have happened to us. Good advice especially as vacationers are catching the last hurray of summer time.
    Best,
    Eliz
