iPad Uses

It’s been 6 months now since I’ve been using the iPad. It has been tremendously useful for a breastfeeding mom like me. Whenever my son is breastfeeding or is taking longer time to fall asleep the iPad is my usual companion. It’s the one I use when I want to relax and unwind and read the latest news.

The iPad has also been beneficial to our kids. My eldest practices the guitar every day after school work with the help of an iPad app. My youngest baby’s interest in music has peaked after being exposed to different music videos he watches in the iPad.

That’s why now I’m thinking of buying another tablet. Maybe I’ll buy a kindle since we already have an iPad.

Egyptian Cotton Towels

When I was a little girl, my grandma would have the softest bathroom towels. It was white, fluffy and soft just like cotton. She would hand wash it lovingly too, always careful to keep it looking like new. Back then, there were no fabric conditioner yet. But the Egyptian cotton towels she had always came out soft.

Why I Go to a Salon with Well Dressed Attendants

I go to the beauty salon once a week to have my nails done. There are many salons in my place but I prefer to go further out to the mall where the salons are designed attractively and the attendants dressed in trendy and professional uniform.

As a mother, a trip to the salon is a welcome time. It’s the time for me to relax and get pampered. That’s why the salon should have an ambiance that can be relaxing to the customers. More important than the ambience are the beauticians attending to the customers. They should not only have a smiling face to greet the customer, they should also be well groomed and dressed in smart and fashionable beauty tunics.

Appearance matters and when a beautician looks good it gives a good reflection on the service the salon provides. After all, how can they expect to make their client beautiful if they can’t do it on themselves? Not only that, since they are dressed to impress they also gain confidence in themselves and exert more effort to please their customers than say, someone dressed in a sloppy uniform.

That’s why I go the extra effort to visit the salon with well dressed beauticians even if it’s a bit far from our home. It’s a trip that’s worth my time because I know that a happy worker will get the job done better.

Marian Rivera is Cosmopolitan Magazine’s April cover girl. I am not a fan of Marian but if there’s one thing I appreciate about her it’s her being able to stand for herself.

She has a healthy body image and it can be seen in her latest photo. She’s not trying to be stick thin like the models that we frequently see in magazines. Yet she is the most successful TV star in her channel.

Hopefully, more stars will follow her footsteps and set a good example to the children who idolize them.
