We Will Be 7 Years this February

Jan 17, 2012 by

We will be celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary this February. If you include the years we were together as a couple we will be on our 10th year! That’s achievement enough for me. I’ve always wanted to have a family of my own but now that I am living that life I realized it’s really hard. It’s hard to stay married and it’s hard to raise kids.

I’m just so glad I married the right person. What’s our secret you ask? It’s our stubborn commitment to stay married. So that even when the going gets tough and the last thing you want is to see his/her face you still stay because you’re committed.

If I had married the wrong kind of person, for sure I’ll be one of the single mothers right now. I shudder at the thought because I could have married that wrong guy!

Anyway, there’s so much to be thankful for. I hope hubby and I get the chance to go on a date without the kids on this special day. Oh my, I don’t know what to give him to mark this occasion. He already has one of those stainless steel watches so I won’t be buying that. Hmm, I still have a month to prepare so I better make up my mind as early as now.

Christmas Gifts

Dec 30, 2011 by

It’s a few days after Christmas! Last Christmas, my husband gave me some silver earrings. I was so thrilled to receive them.

He said he wanted me to wear those because he never sees me wearing any jewelry. I forgot to tell him that the reason I didn’t was because I’m such a klutz and I lose every piece of jewelry given to me before.

There’s my bracelet given by my grandmother, my necklace and bracelet set given by my mom, and my wedding ring. huhu So it would be practical for him to give me that I cannot lose like a pool heat pump to warm our pool (if we had one!) than to give me jewelry. hihi Anyway, I can still change and I’m willing to try wearing one again for my husband.

So what’s my Christmas gift to him? It’s a pillow! Oh, he has been complaining for a long time how he always gets the smallest pillow come sleeping time. So now he has his own special fluffy pillow that no one is allowed to use.

How about you? What gifts did you give your loved ones?

Wedding Bands

Dec 5, 2011 by

My hubby wants us to have a church wedding. I’m really flattered but I also feel that now is not the right time. We’re in the middle of raising two kids and we simply have no time to plan a wedding. We have more immediate priorities and I feel that our civil wedding is enough.

But what I want us to get are some new wedding bands to replace our old ones instead. Wedding rings are the symbol of our marriage that’s why it’s important. Unfortunately, I lost mine a few years ago and haven’t replaced it since. I hope hubby surprise me with one this Christmas. Now I just have to make sure he reads this.

Finally, Instagram!

May 6, 2011 by

I was delighted yesterday when I discovered that Instagram was finally installed in my husband’s Ipod. I tried to install it a month ago but maybe because of our slow wifi it couldn’t install no matter how many times I tried. Hubby came back from Subic the other day and remarked how fast the internet was in the gas station where they stopped over. He must have been right because lo and behold when I checked the Ipod I noticed the Instagram was successfully installed at last. I instantly took the opportunity to take a picture of both me and my husband.

We took a few more but I’ll reserve those for another post.

Happy Heart’s Day!

Feb 14, 2011 by

After going to the Myth of the Human Body exhibit at Taguig we went for a quick merienda at Sbarros. Pizza became much more appealing after an hour of seeing different parts of the human body and internal organs on display.hehe Sbarros was giving away free straws so we had a laugh trying it out. Picture was taken by my BIL who treated us out. Thanks, bro!

Shhh… Don’t Tell Hubby Where We’re Going this Valentine

Feb 8, 2011 by

Valentine’s day is less than a week away but I still don’t know where we’ll spend it.  At first, I wanted to just let it pass but upon learning that Bam, who helps me around in the house, is going to be out for more than 8 hours for her on-the-job training starting Monday, February 14, I knew I couldn’t let this special day pass without treating myself. My husband is busy enough to search for places to go to but good thing it’s easy to convince him so I went ahead and did some research of my own.  Fortunately, Anton of Awesome Planet has good suggestions and I didn’t have a hard time picking one from his list.  If you’re still not sure where to go this Valentine, do visit his awesome blog, and just in case you’re wondering, I don’t believe he’s the Big Bad Blogger.

So where am I taking my husband this Valentine? Presenting, the Myth of the Human Body Exhibit!

This exhibit is definitely eerie and features bodies of actual people preserved through a process called plastination.  Plastination preserves these bodies perfectly without damaging them and the bodies stay preserved even at room temperature.  I have heard about this before when it first opened abroad but I didn’t know it has been here since October of last year.
I hope my husband doesn’t get freaked out when he learns about this. I’m planning to surprise him so don’t tell him, okay?  Anyway, I guess he’ll feel better if I tell him it’s either that or the Chippendales! haha
