Rotating Brownout!

Mar 1, 2010 by

Rotating brownout has finally began in our time. The schedule says it’s from 6pm to 8pm every day. The good news is that they have a schedule so we can anticipate it, the bad news is well, schedules are rarely followed. They were right on the dot the first night. Lights went out and went back on at the exact time it’s supposed to be but I doubt that they’ll be that reliable tomorrow. Nevertheless, let’s give them the benefit of the doubt. :)

Brownout

Feb 3, 2010 by

This is what I’m so afraid of. My work at home depends on electricity so no electricity means no income. Not only that, if this occurs during the summer (which is likely because they are already sending out feelers that they will do this) then the heat would be unbearable especially for us living in the top floor of the apartment complex. I know that places in the Visayas region have already been experiencing rotating brownout and I know that sooner it will be our turn but I wish we would never have to experience it. Hah, wishful thinking on my part!
