Forgetful Me

Mar 9, 2012 by

I am really forgetful when it comes to a lot of things. I dread it when my hubby asks me to remind him about something because chances are I’ll forget about it. Like yesterday, after our weekly date he asked me to remind him to cover the car the next day. It was already past midnight when we arrived home so he couldn’t cover the car properly. Of course, the next day I forgot all about it. I only remembered when hubby remembered it just before sunset.

Good thing I have a really understanding hubby or I’ll be in trouble. That’s why I have started the habit of writing everything down. May it be the tasks I need to get done today or things to buy – like the slotted screwdriver I kept on forgetting – I make it a point to write it. I review my to do list every day. When we’re at the mall I glance at my to buy list before we go home.

Drum Set

Feb 26, 2012 by

At our church we have a very old drum set. My hubby said they have it for twenty years already. That’s why when they decided to upgrade the musical instruments at church that’s the first thing they upgraded.

They scouted store after store to find the perfect drum set. They soon found one that fits their budget. They had it installed right away after it was delivered. Now the musicians at church are using it during service and the different church activities.

One thing I notice is that drums could take up such a huge space in the stage. Our church is not that big so space is valuable. I hope next time they consider buying Yamaha electronic drums instead. I heard these are just as effective as regular drums.

Can’t Get Over Our Vacation

Feb 26, 2012 by

It’s been a month since our vacation but my husband and I still can’t get over the beauty of Bohol. Every time we remember our wonderful vacation we can’t help but dream of moving there, live by the beach, and just enjoy life. I know it’s a crazy dream but who knows what will happen in the future. We might get really crazy and move.

Bohol is a laid back province. There are no SM malls there. But they have two small malls to cater for your needs. I don’t know though if they have imported stuff like hoyo de monterrey cigars. But in today’s world where you can shop online I think that hardly matters anymore. Anyway, moving there is just a dream for now. I hope we can visit this beautiful province again sometime in the near future.

Stair Supply Tips

Feb 25, 2012 by

Here are a few tips on building your next balustrade. First thing you want to know is that you can actually shop online for all your stair parts. We have advanced in society to the point that you can find almost anything you need online, stair parts included. It is a good idea to call the website and make sure you are ordering everything you need before you place your order. So if money is an issue I would recommend finding a better value by shopping online.
A new trend is to use iron balusters in your stair case. There are dozens of designs and finishes so you might want to look at these in person before purchasing the whole lot. Most companies allow you to return a product but you will have to pay for shipping both ways which can become very expensive. I have even seen people mix wood and iron spindles in the same staircase. Really up to you with what will work with your home.

Zack Loves Music

Feb 13, 2012 by

My baby is fond of the iPad. It’s where we watches his favorite music videos. Whenever he sees the iPad, he will get agitated and point to it. He will only stop when we give it to him and play his favorite video. If he doesn’t like the music he will touch and attempt to play another song. At one year old he is already humming some parts of the song, “Today is the Day” by Lincoln Brewster. I only discovered it by accident. I didn’t have the iPad within reach that time so I sang it to him instead. When I stopped to my surprise he continued the song by humming.

Hubby put together a video of his song. It’s not that clear but he was really singing there. :)

I guess our baby took after his dad when it comes to his love for music. I know hubby is thrilled that his youngest son is showing interest in music. Pretty soon he would be buying a williams encore digital piano or a children’s guitar for my baby’s little hands to practice on. My wish is he grows up as talented or even better than his Dad.

Weekly Dates

Feb 13, 2012 by

It has been a month since we started our weekly date. If you’re married and are not going on a date every week I suggest you try it asap. I didn’t think we would have so much fun but we did. We always bring the kids with us wherever we go and we love bringing them along. Unfortunately, as a husband and wife we must also spend time with each other. So that’s what I suggested to my hubby a month ago. I’m glad he immediately agreed.

It was weird on our first date because we were so used to having the kids with us. Our date was just a simple one. We went to the mall and ate at Wendy’s. We reminisced the time when we first met – it was at Wendy’s – and laughed at our first impressions with each other. After that I went shopping at Forever 21. I had a hard time finding clothes among the dozens and dozens of clothes on display so it took me a while before I was able to pick clothes. Next time I’m just going online and shop at Damart. I heard they have beautiful and affordable clothes on sale. Poor hubby, he fell asleep waiting for me at the stairs nearby. haha! Yes, I’m definitely going to shop online next time.

Anyway, even though that happened he might have enjoyed it because he agreed to go on a date again the week after. We had dinner at Tokyo Tokyo for two weeks in a row. But the second time we went there I found a hair on my plate. waaa! So yesterday, for our weekly date we went to another Japanese restaurant. I forgot the name, so sorry! But we really enjoyed our food there and we’re planning to eat there again next week. After that, hubby bought me some chocolates and took me shopping. He’s really the greatest husband ever! I love you, Der!

We Grew Fat During Our Vacation

Jan 28, 2012 by

When we were on vacation we indulge ourselves with the hotel food. All we had to do was to choose what we like on the variety of food available on the menu. We really did go a little crazy in ordering food. That’s why now we are kind of sorry because of the added pounds we took home with us.

We’re thinking how we can eliminate these excess fats we gained. I heard about the effectiveness of wii zumba and want to give it a try The thing about this workout is it’s not boring. The last thing I want is a workout that can put me to sleep!
